Norman Pickell
Norman Pickell graduated
from the University of Windsor
Law School in 1972 and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1974.
As a lawyer, Norman's preferred areas of practice are real estate, wills
and estate planning, powers of attorney, elder law, estate
administration, business and corporate law and landlord and tenant

In appropriate circumstances, Norman makes house calls, whether to your
home or to the hospital.
Norman is also a mediator, with experience mediating various types of
conflict. For over 30 years, Norman has extensive experience in family
law and other civil litigation matters. Norman now prefers to be the
mediator in those types of disputes, instead of the lawyer. For more

Norman is also an arbitrator. He is qualified to arbitrate a wide

Norman is also a Small Claims Court Judge and has been for over 18
years. In this capacity, he presides over trials and settlement
conferences primarily in Huron, Perth and Lambton Counties. |

Community Involvement
Norman Pickell is a great believer in being involved in the community. Since
moving to Goderich in 1972, Norman has been very active in his church, the
Rotary Club, the local hospital, public education and other organizations.
Norman was the Chair of the Board of Directors of the
Alexandra Marine
and General Hospital located in Goderich, Ontario from June 2004 until
June 2007 and still serves on the Hospital's Board of Directors.
Norman is a member and a Past President of the
Goderich Rotary Club (1979 - 1980) and a Past President of the Huron Law
Association (1996 - 1998).
Norman has been Chairperson of the Church Board at
North Street United Church in
Goderich, Ontario for a total of four years - in 1975 and 1976 and again in
1999 and 2000.
For nine years (from 1988 to 1997), Norman was a School Trustee on the
Huron County Board of Education
(which is now part of the Avon Maitland District School Board).
Personal
Norman Pickell and his wife, Nancy, have lived in
Goderich, Ontario in
Huron County since 1972. They
are the proud parents of three grown children and one grandchild. Norman's
hobbies include camping, travelling and golf. For over 25 years, Norman was
