Professionally, I am a lawyer, with a general law practice, as well as a mediator and an arbitrator. I am also active in my community; I have a passion for flying; I love camping in my trailer; and I enjoy travelling. The challenge has been to combine all of these interests into one web site. I want to make this web site as user friendly as possible. Because of the size of the site, I have included a search engine. To use it, simply type in your search words in the search box at the top of your screen, or click on " Advanced Search" for instructions on how to use the "search" feature. To go to the Advanced Search page click here. One of the things that you can do is type in some key words separated by the plus sign. For example, if you want to see information on what is required of the Estate Trustee, you can type in estate+trustee+duties or duties+estate trustee. If you want information on mediation in family law, you can type in dispute+family+mediation or family+mediation.

Mediation and Arbitration are new concepts for some people. Many still think of suing and law suits as the only way to settle disputes. However, there are many advantages to using either mediation or arbitration to resolve conflict, whether that conflict takes place in families, in business, in the work place, in personal injury, in health care, in real estate, in education or in your community. Since coming to Huron County in 1972, I have been active in various organizations in the community. Thus, on this web site you will find information about North Street United Church (of which I have been a member since 1972 and am presently the Chair of the Church Board), the Goderich Rotary Club (of which I have been a member since 1975 and President in 1979 - 1980) and the Avon Maitland District School Board (having been a Trustee on its predecessor, the Huron County Board of Education, from 1988 until 1997). Because I have been involved with politics since 1972, I have also included some political web sites.

As I said in the opening paragraph, flying is one of my passions. Therefore, I have included lots of information on flying! To see it, please click here. As a child and a teenager, my parents instilled in me a love for traveling by taking me all over Canada and part of the United States. (Even though my father is now over 80, that did not stop my parents from pulling their trailer out to Alberta in 1999.) Since graduating from law school in 1972, my wife and I have continued to travel. Those of you who know my children will know that they have the travel bug too!
