Consent and Capacity - Ontario
The Consent and Capacity Board of Ontario conducts hearings under the Mental Health Act, the Health Care Consent Act, the Substitute Decisions Act and the Long Term Care Act, and in so doing does such things as determine the capacity of a person to consent to treatment or admission to a care facility, the appointment of a representative to make decisions for an incapable person and reviewing the statutory guardianship for property.
