The National Parole Board of Canada has authority to grant, deny, cancel, terminate or revoke day parole and full parole to adult offenders sentenced to federal correctional institutions. The National Parole Board also makes conditional release decisions for offenders in provinces and territories that do not have their own parole boards. The National Parole Board is also responsible for making decisions to grant, deny and revoke pardons.
